Treatment of...

Acupuncture is a form of healing that originated in China at least 3000 years ago. Its healing principles are rooted in simple natural laws designed to keep the body in harmony with the seasons and balance our life force energy or QI. The Qi travels through a network of channels that run through the body, these are called meridians, each of which controls the energy in a specific organ. Light needling action on points along these meridians can control the energy within an organ there bye creating balance in the body which initiates healing.

Acupuncture treats the whole person not just the presenting symptoms, including physical and emotional problems.

Do the Needles Hurt?
The patient sometimes feels a tingling sensation on insertion. The needles are very small, about the thickness of a human hair, they are disposable and of the highest quality so no needle is used more than once on a patient. Most patients say that the whole experience is very relaxing.

How long does the treatment take ?
About 1 hour for the first treatment, with subsequent treatments taking approximately 30 - 45 minutes.
