What is Hypnosis?
Have you ever been watching television and just ‘switched off’ or drifted away? Then you’re probably watching too much television (only joking). This kind of “daydreaming” is a perfect way to describe how a hypnotic state feels. It’s a completely relaxed state.
 
So what is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a state of complete relaxation for your conscious mind and body which is when you’re subconscious (or unconscious) mind (the part responsible for your unwanted behaviours) can do it’s best work. You are in complete control but you are NOT asleep. YOU do most of the work with the encouragement you’re subconscious needs from a well qualified therapist. Above all the main thing to get from hypnotherapy is complete relaxation and empowerment to make the changes you want.
 
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes as long as they consent to be hypnotised. The subconscious mind is a very powerful tool that we use everyday and we can’t be forced to be hypnotised if we don’t want to be.
