What is NLP?
NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming has many explanations - all very good but maybe slightly baffling so….
……after reading this paragraph I want you to close your eyes down (if it is safe to do so) and think of the happiest time of your life. As you think about that happy time I want you to intensify those feelings as much as you can whilst keeping your eyes closed. Really focus on that time. See the people around you at that time, hear the sounds, feel the feelings you had or even smell the smells around you at that happy time. If you can’t think of a time at the moment then imagine one. Push everything else from your mind and concentrate on that one time. Think about it for a few seconds (10, 20, as long as you need) and then open your eyes. Do this now.
You’ve just experienced NLP
Most people reading this will have had a positive shift in their mood regardless of how they were feeling before doing this exercise.
